Blake Foster’s mom Tammy describes her
10-year-old as a “crackerjack”who loves the
great outdoors.
“He loves to have fun, tell jokes and do
pranks,”Tammy says with a laugh. “He’s
probably the happiest child you’ll ever
meet.”
But life was much different mere years ago,
when Blake was diagnosed with a liver
tumor in 2009. He needed a transplant,
and was lucky to receive one on Easter
morning.
His health and energy levels have since
taken a turn for the better—so much so
that he was able to attend the three-day
Camp Chihopi Liver & Intestine Transplant
Summer Camp in 2015, and plans to go
again in 2016.
At camp, he was able to swim, go
horseback riding and even ride a zipline.
“I thank God every day that he is still with
us, that he is able to think, walk and talk,”
Tammy says.
I’m thankful
he’s able to be a
normal kid
