CORE was recognized by the Keystone Alliance for Performance Excellence
(KAPE) for demonstrating proficiency, a level two accomplishment, toward
the organizational framework outlined by the Baldrige Performance
Excellence Program.
CORE submitted a 50-page application complete with responses to
Baldrige criteria-based questions. The responses outlined, among others,
CORE’s organizational profile, strategic planning process, customer focus
and implementation of its Mission, Vision and Values. Throughout the
KAPE process, CORE employed Baldrige criteria to perform low-cost,
non-prescriptive assessments that addressed its unique challenges as
a nonprofit corporation.
KAPE’s mission is to assist all types of organizations in Pennsylvania
improve their performance and outcomes. Once an organization achieves
the highest level in the KAPE program, it is then eligible to pursue the
Baldrige Award.
The Baldrige program raises awareness about the importance of
performance excellence in driving the U.S. and global economy, provides
organizational assessment tools and criteria, and educates leaders in
businesses, schools, health care organization, and government and
non-profit agencies on the practices of best-in-class organizations.
In 2015, CORE will pursue a higher level in the KAPE program and
continue its journey to excellence.
