Quality leadership imbues
excellence throughout an
organization. As leaders in
the organ procurement
community, CORE seeks the
best personnel to aptly
serve organ, tissue and
cornea donor families and
transplant patients.
Leadership and Innovation
National Collaborative (LINC)
The CORE journey to excellence in 2014
welcomed a new collaboration with three
fellow OPOs. CORE, Gift of Life Michigan,
Mid-America Transplant Services, and
Donor Alliance created the Leadership and
Innovation National Collaborative (LINC)
to share best practices dedicated to
promoting donation, education and
research for the purpose of saving and
improving lives through organ, tissue and
eye transplantation.
LINC’s collaborative model enables the
organizations to collaborate in many
areas and achieve costs savings that can
ultimately help reduce the cost of
healthcare.
LINC focuses on five main strategies as
a collective.
Collaboration
Collaboration benefits LINC by merging
the individual strengths, resources and
skillsets of each OPO to complement each
other. Joining like-minded OPOs allows
LINC to gain a valuable source of
motivation, inspiration and support —
enhancing outreach messaging, leadership
skills and best practices.
Improving Quality
LINC is committed to the performance
excellence journey outlined by Baldrige.
All LINC members are on this journey and
will work with one another to improve
performance in the seven categories of
Leadership; Strategic Planning; Customer
Focus; Knowledge Management; Work-
force; Operations; and Results.
Medical Advancements
LINC has combined individual partners’
best practices to realize the greatest
possible outcomes for all of its
stakeholders. As pioneers in the organ,
tissue and eye procurement field, LINC’s
program development, service expansion,
research and cutting-edge approach put
us in a position to succeed and advance
our mission.
